Le jeudi 21 mai, le Musée des Civilisations noires accueille l’avant-première du documentaire « Guissé Pène, parcours d’un missionnaire culturel », réalisé par Ndèye Aminata Ndiaye. Sa relation avec les artistes qu’il a accompagnés, son lien avec son frère Omar Pène, ses programmes culturels : témoignages et archives viennent retracer le parcours d’un passeur de mémoire. Une projection-débat pour (re)découvrir une trajectoire qui a marqué le paysage culturel et artistique du Sénégal.
On Thursday 21 May, the Museum of Black Civilizations hosts the premiere of “Guissé Pène, parcours d’un missionnaire culturel”, directed by Ndèye Aminata Ndiaye. His relationships with the artists he supported, his bond with his brother Omar Pène, his cultural programmes — through testimonies and archive footage, the film retraces the journey of a man who dedicated his life to carrying culture forward.
